The COSP is an education program by Ajibu Community aiming at increasing access to education in the most vulnerable communities without a public school.
Every child deserves an education. Their future is shaped by education. Unfortunately in Uganda, there still exist communities without a public primary school, the lucky ones have only one underequipped and understaffed public school but also cannot be accessed by all children, this is why 14% or more of children in rural communities have never attended school, 63% of those who attend are still learning poor (they lack basic literacy skills), and more than 30% of children drop out of school before making it to 4th grade or primary four because of insufficient learning resources and little support from the teachers hence more than 80% of the rural-based children not completing their primary education ending up not doing well in life.
With our program, we aim at increasing opportunities for quality education in the rural communities. We aim to establish well-equipped and facilitated community schools, work with international teachers to develop and introduce a Montessori education curriculum in the remotest areas of the region to deliver world-class study programs so that we restore hope and revive childhood glory of the vulnerable children to set them up for a better life ahead.
The benefits of this program include but are not limited to;
increasing access to quality education in the remotest communities.
Teacher capacity building
Introduce an international education system in rural communities incorporating STEM learning.
Childhood development programs to nurture children at a young age through skill development.
We are excited to inform you that there is already a school structure on sale in a rural community and we are looking to buy it and make it our first ever COSP school. It is being sold at $50,000 and we know that with your support we can make this happen.
We have created a givingway campaign https://www.givingway.com/campaign/bad77e to buy this school to which we request you to donate and share widely with your networks, you may also help by working together and organizing Christmas children activities in your community so that we are able to raise this money.
